Apple Cider Vinegar Weight loss

The Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Weight Loss Program involves drinking 2 to 3 teaspoons of apple vinegar before every meal. Apple Cider Vinegar is an acidic solution made from fermented apples.

For many years, people have been using this vinegar as an aid for weight loss. Since it a product of fruit, it is considered very safe.

ACV is said to enhance pepsin and hydrochloric acid, two components in the digestive system that is essential for breaking down food. This allows the body to digest food easily and efficiently use it for bodily functions.

The lack of pepsin and hydrochloric acid in the digestive system may also result in food poisoning. ACV therefore also prevents food poisoning. Another reason that ACV helps in weight loss is it detoxifies the liver.

Aside from aiding in weight loss, ACV contains more than ninety substances that are all good for the body. It contains potash, alcoholic acids, enzymes and amino acids that all aid in the digestion of food. It also contains a dietary fiber called Apple pectin. The solution is also loaded with essential vitamins and nutrients such as vitamins A, C, E, P, B1, B2 and vitamin B6. Apple Cider Vinegar also contains calcium, sodium, manganese, iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, chlorine, fluorine and copper.

Vitamins C, and E are also known to be anti-oxidants, components that allow cells to destroy free-radicals. Potassium on the other hand helps make blood thinner and helps in controlling blood pressure. The dietary fiber apple pectin absorbs fat and cholesterol while in the digestive tract so the body absorbs less of them. Fiber is also good for controlling the blood sugar level. The minerals in ACV such as magnesium, calcium an others help make bones stronger. The ACV is also used for treating sore throats, nasal and chest congestions.

Initially, dieters may have a hard time taking in 2- 3 teaspoonfuls of the ACV but they will get used to it after a while. For those who do not like its taste, ACV is also now being sold in capsules and tablets. According to some, combining ACV with lecithin and vitamin B should increase its efficacy.

It is still unclear if ACV results in weight loss. Often, those who take ACV also control caloric intake so the weight loss could be a result of that. Still, with the many health benefits of ACV, there’s really nothing wrong with trying it yourself.
